About SoBol New Dorp

SoBol New Dorp is a cafe in Staten Island, New York. It is listed at 284 New Dorp Ln, Staten Island, NY 10306, which places it among the local businesses of Staten Island that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–8 pm. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is opendining.net, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 50 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Staten Island is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Staten Island is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I never write reviews but I usually just avoid this location because of how embarrassingly rude the girls there are, came in on saturday 8/1 to order a bowl and was just looking at the menu because i didnt know what i wanted yet. there was nobody else there but the girl kept saying β€œwhat do you want” over and over, rolled her eyes, and acted like me ordering was an inconvenience. i said never mind and walked out, and her and the other girl started laughing as i left like they were in high school. i work 10 hour shifts in healthcare, so i know what it’s like to be tired and deal with people all day, but thats never an excuse to treat customers like that. honestly just embarrassing, immature, and completely unprofessional hire better peoole

Today while I was waiting for my order, two employees were speaking rudely about another employee. Their comments included loud, foul language - very unprofessional and unwelcoming. This is not the first time I find the employees to be rude at this location.

I have been buying Acai bowls and coconut bowls for about two years. Always picked them up. Yesterday I ordered through Uber Eats. The bowls were not the same at all. The acai was at the bottom, overly sweet and too much. Granola was so scarce, so I added my own. I also ordered the coconut bowl. The consistency of the coconut was thin. I called today and asked if they changed the recipe. The fruit was fresh, but the rest of the ingredients ruined the bowl. The girl on the phone said nope we didn't change the recipe. I believe what I may have received was the nut free version, because there weren't, and the granola was just plain. The girl simply said sorry I will not be buying from there anymore. When I first purchased, they always asked if I had nut allergy, which I thought was very nice. As time went on, they stopped asking. I actually called on the phone right after placing my order. I was not asked about any allergy. I wouldn't mind if she had said let me talk to the manager, or we will give you a discount. Or she could have asked if I had allergies, in that case it would be different. Nothing. I will be going back to Baya Bowl. They are out of the way, but I don't apprecia

Worst experience ever. They were rude because it’s the first time I get Nutella on a bowl and she said in a snarky tone that there’s in the middle. On top of that my bowl came with exactly 3 blueberries.. and it was half full, how is it 13$ for a scoop that doesn’t even fill the bowl n a few fruits?

Great, much needed store on new Dorp Lane. My experience with the staff here has always been very pleasant. They were very informative and exceptional in preparing the bowl I ordered. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves acai bowl or is curious about it
